Now use the replacement supply line which you have and tighten the bolt at the supply end first. Now adjust the length that you will need for the pipe to reach the flush tank. Once you adjust the length use a knife to cut the extra length and then tighten the hexagonal bolt at the other end.
If you bought the same unit it should line right up, if you were unable, you will need to remove or add length to the existing piping. This may require you to splice together copper with plastic, don't let this scare you the hardware store will have all of the necessary parts.
Working on the gas lines is also a complex job that only a licensed plumber can handle because it is very dangerous. Small leaks can't always be detected by odor alone, but a licensed professional has the proper equipment that's needed to ensure that you don't have any leaks in the line.

For a newly installed icemaker, you will need up to 24 hours to let the machine function and cool down. A newly installed icemaker may not work until the ice mold temperature has dropped to about 15F - 16F degrees. It can sometimes take a few ice making cycles to clear the line of air.
